Yesterday Subaru Announced the all-new redesigned 2019 Subaru Forester, and I could not be more excited about it. This blog will highlight the features of this exciting new car. In this pictures below you can the difference in the exterior design of the 2018 Forester (left) and the 2019 Forester (right).
My first impression when I saw the new one was that they did a good job of smoothing out the rougher lines, and they did a great job of making the car look more modern. Honestly, I was starting to think that the Forester was falling behind.

In terms of new exterior features, they have made LED headlights standard, and steering responsive headlights. A second exterior change is with the opening of the rear cargo area. On the 2018 Forester, the opening was 43 inches wide, while on the 2019 Forester, it is 51.2 inches wide so you can easily fit larger objects. Interior is next. This is where a lot changed.
2019 Subaru Forester Interior
The 2018 Subaru Forester is to left, and 2019 Forester is to right.
First, they updated the infotanment display to have the Generation 3 headunit, the same as the 2018 Outbacks, Crosstreks, Legacy’s, and Impreza’s with up to an 8 inch display and Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto standard.
Some of the most exciting news is that Eyesight Safety System is now standard. That means everyone will get automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and more. Everyone will be safer and more confident on the road.
Another neat safety feature which will be available is the Subaru Driver Focus System which will monitor the driver and will be able to detect if they are dozing of and will alert them to either pull off or wake up!
But it doesn’t stop there! It is going to have Wifi capability, so you can stay connected on the road. Under the hood, they made a few smaller changes like moving from a port injection fuel system to a direct injection which increases the horsepower to 182 BHP.
2019 Subaru Forester Sport
Above is the 2019 Subaru Forester Sport! This is a special edition of the Forester, and as you can see from the picture on the left, it will have 18-inch black alloy wheels and orange accents. On the inside, you can see that it has a much sportier design and tastily placed orange accents as well.
What you do not see is the SI drive which enables you to select from three different drive modes as well as dual function X-Mode. We have had X-mode in the past but the dual function version has different settings for slick surfaces like ice and another function for sticky situations like mud or deep snow. It will have the smart key fob with keyless access, wifi, and the upgraded Harmon Kardon audio system.
Subaru is clearly offering a lot with this new redesign, and it is really exciting.

can you explain how to disable the start and stop function beside every time tune off the switch on 2019 forester
Yes, so while there is no official way to do it, there are a few workarounds until they realize a lot of people are frustrated by it. There are a few things that disable it and they are the rear defrost, when the windshield wipers are on, when your blinker is on, when you are on a steep incline and when it is below 24 degrees outside. So the easiest thing to do is to go to vehicle settings and set the rear defrost to not turn off after 15 minutes and just leave it on which will do no damage to the car and will make sure auto start stop is never operating.
